Trusted Leadership. Proven Results.
Leadership isn’t measured by promises. It’s earned through listening, making thoughtful decisions, welcoming accountability, and delivering results.
About Alejandra
Since taking office, I have approached every decision with preparation, transparency, and accountability. My role is not only to vote, but to listen, ask difficult questions, weigh competing interests, and make choices that serve the long-term needs of our community.
I am an El Paso native, wife and mother, and I currently serve as Mayor Pro Tem and District 1 Representative. Before public office, I spent more than 20 years as a small business owner in El Paso, which shaped my understanding of local economic development and the needs of working families. I bring that experience into my work in city government, focused on practical solutions and responsible leadership.
How I Lead
Leadership begins with listening. It requires preparation, a commitment to understanding the facts, and the discipline to make thoughtful decisions even when they are difficult. It also means welcoming accountability, staying consistent, and showing up for the community.
Leadership is ultimately measured by results. My work reflects a steady focus on earning trust through action, not promises.
Early Voting: October 19th through 30th.
Election Day: November 3rd.
Delivering Results
My work as your District 1 Representative has remained focused on five core pillars that directly impact our neighborhoods, families, and future.
Infrastructure
Investing in the streets, mobility, and connections our growing district needs.
• Moved the long-awaited Resler Connect project from plans to construction, improving access and emergency response for Enchanted Hills.
• Advanced street resurfacing, traffic mitigation, lighting, and transportation improvements throughout District 1.
Public Safety
Keeping our neighborhoods safe and supporting the first responders who protect them.
• District 1 has the lowest crime rate in El Paso and is experiencing a 10% reduction in crime compared with the same time last year.
• Invested in public safety facilities, technology, equipment, and improvements that strengthen police, fire, and emergency response.
Quality of Life
Creating safer, cleaner, more connected neighborhoods where families can thrive.
• Expanded neighborhood lighting, parks and trails while investing in beautification, cleanups, recreational spaces, and projects that bring families together.
• Used District 1 resources to address neighborhood needs directly, from solar lighting at parks and basketball courts to trail and visibility improvements.
Building Community
Making sure every neighborhood has a voice and residents know their representative is accessible.
• Created Field Focused Fridays and Connected Communities to take constituent service beyond City Hall and directly into District 1 neighborhoods.
• Held regular community meetings, worked alongside neighborhood associations and residents, and responded to hundreds of constituent requests throughout the district.
Economic Development
Supporting opportunity while keeping affordability and responsible growth at the center of our decisions.
• Bringing the perspective of a former small business owner to City Hall, with a focus on quality jobs, local businesses, housing needs, and expanding our commercial tax base.
• Advocating for responsible development that protects taxpayers and neighborhoods while creating measurable benefits for our communi
